I like working on products where there's a lot going on under the hood. Data-heavy, workflow-heavy stuff where the design either helps people think clearly or just adds noise. Most of my work has been at Intuit and Walmart, on things like loan underwriting tools, in-store identity systems, and rethinking how people buy phones online. Right now I'm also building Origen Atlas, a small design studio for startups and product teams.
I spend a lot of time in research before I start designing. Sitting with users, watching how they actually work, running card sorts, testing prototypes. The best decisions I've made usually came from seeing someone struggle with the current thing, not from imagining a better version of it. I also tend to think in systems over screens. I'd rather build something that works for 15 use cases than something that only solves one.
DePaul grad, Chicago-based, and always chasing something new. Outside of design I'm usually deep into sports, finding my next favorite album, traveling somewhere new, hunting down a good matcha spot, rewatching a good TV show I've already seen ten times, or down the rabbit hole with AI.
